Jane Goodall Expressed Desire to Launch Musk and Trump on Single-Journey Space Mission

After devoting her life observing chimpanzee behavior, Jane Goodall became an expert on the aggressive tendencies of dominant males. In a recently released interview filmed shortly before her death, the celebrated primatologist disclosed her unusual solution for addressing certain individuals she viewed as exhibiting similar traits: sending them on a permanent journey into space.

Legacy Interview Discloses Honest Views

This remarkable perspective into Goodall's thinking emerges from the Netflix film "Last Statements", which was recorded in March and preserved secret until after her latest death at 91 years old.

"I've encountered people I don't like, and I want to put them on a SpaceX vessel and dispatch them to the celestial body he's sure he'll locate," remarked Goodall during her discussion with the interviewer.

Specific Individuals Targeted

When asked whether Elon Musk, known for his questionable behavior and political alliances, would be part of this group, Goodall answered with certainty.

"Oh, absolutely. He'd be the organizer. Picture whom I would include on that vessel. In addition to Musk would be Donald Trump and some of Trump's real supporters," she declared.

"Furthermore I would include Vladimir Putin in there, and I would place Xi Jinping. Without question I would add the Israeli leader in there and his far-right government. Send them all on that spacecraft and send them off."

Past Observations

This wasn't the initial instance that Goodall, a supporter of ecological preservation, had voiced concerns about Donald Trump especially.

In a 2022 interview, she had observed that he displayed "the same sort of actions as an alpha chimp exhibits when he's competing for leadership with an opponent. They're upright, they swagger, they project themselves as significantly bigger and combative than they may actually be in order to daunt their opponents."

Alpha Behavior

During her last recorded conversation, Goodall further explained her understanding of leadership types.

"We get, interestingly, two types of alpha. One does it solely through combat, and since they're powerful and they fight, they don't endure very long. Another group achieves dominance by employing intelligence, like an aspiring leader will only challenge a more dominant one if his companion, typically a relative, is alongside him. And as we've seen, they endure far more extended periods," she explained.

Group Dynamics

The celebrated primatologist also studied the "political aspect" of behavior, and what her extensive studies had shown her about combative conduct exhibited by people and primates when encountering something they viewed as threatening, although no threat actually existed.

"Chimpanzees observe an outsider from a neighboring community, and they grow highly agitated, and their fur bristles, and they extend and make physical contact, and they've got visages of anger and fear, and it spreads, and the others absorb that sentiment that one member has had, and the entire group grows combative," she explained.

"It's contagious," she noted. "Some of these demonstrations that turn aggressive, it permeates the group. They all want to become and join in and become aggressive. They're defending their area or fighting for supremacy."

Similar Human Behavior

When inquired if she thought comparable patterns occurred in human beings, Goodall responded: "Probably, in certain situations. But I firmly think that most people are decent."

"My primary aspiration is nurturing this new generation of caring individuals, beginnings and development. But is there sufficient time? I'm uncertain. We face challenging circumstances."

Historical Comparison

Goodall, originally from London prior to the commencement of the the global conflict, equated the fight against the darkness of contemporary politics to Britain standing up the Third Reich, and the "determined resistance" exhibited by the British leader.

"However, this isn't to say you avoid having moments of depression, but subsequently you recover and say, 'Alright, I refuse to let them win'," she commented.

"It's similar to the leader during the conflict, his renowned address, we will oppose them at the coastlines, we will resist them along the roads and metropolitan centers, afterward he commented to a friend and was heard to say, 'and we will oppose them at the ends of broken bottles because that's all we truly have'."

Final Message

In her last message, Goodall provided words of encouragement for those fighting against political oppression and the ecological disaster.

"At present, when Earth is dark, there still is hope. Maintain optimism. Should optimism fade, you turn into apathetic and take no action," she counseled.

"Should you wish to preserve the existing splendor across the globe – should you desire to save the planet for coming generations, future family, later generations – then consider the decisions you make every day. Since, expanded numerous, a billion times, even small actions will make for substantial improvement."
